A refreshing tale

Amid the never-ending swirl of negative sports news, it's nice to read about the right kind of character that sports is supposed to build.

I found this story while trolling about on ESPN's Web site. It sounds like something out of a movie: A college softball player hits her first ever home run. She misses tagging first base. Her knee gives out as she doubles back. If her coaches or trainers help her, the homer is wiped out. ... Can you guess what happens next?
