Baseball managers gone wild

| | Comments (0)

It seems that the promotion people at minor-league baseball stadiums aren't the only ones trying to keep the fans entertained at games anymore. When some of these managers meltdown, boy, do they give it all they've got.

The most recent, Kash Beauchamp of the Witchita Wingnuts (which is just a great name) was left standing on the field in his red socks.

So in honor of these managers who go the extra mile in their rants, here's a look back at some doozies:

Joe Mikulik of the Asheville Tourists. His meltdown was spurred by Koby Clemens (Roger's son) not being called out on a steal attempt. Pay close attention to Mikulik's idea of a slide. Belly-flop anyone?

Phil Wellman of the Mississippi Braves. First he has some fun playing in the home-plate dirt, then at 1:39 into the video, he throws out the ump. Not to mention his grenade-throwing stunt.

Nashua Pride manager Butch Hobson. Skip ahead to about 2:10 for the tantrum.

I don't know who this is, but hey, it's just a game. As Frankie said, Relax.
