The Penn State athletic program was ranked No. 6 nationally by SI.com for 2007-08 -- ahead of every other Big Ten school.
The Nittany Lion sports year included two national volleyball titles and four Big Ten championships.
SI.com's top 10 included Arizona State, Stanford, UCLA, North Carolina, Georgia, Penn State, Florida, Southern California, LSU and Tennessee.
Michigan and Wisconsin were the only other Big Ten schools ranked in the top 25.
The SI.com points system factored in national titles, league titles and top 30 finishes.
