An athletic director in Wisconsin has come up with an idea to try and make sure that brawls like the one pictured above don't happen.
His idea is a nationwide online ticketing and fan identification system.
Here's the gist of how the program would work:
Each ticket would be printed with the ticket-holder's name on it, and an identification card for students or a driver's license for adults will be required at the gate or gymnasium doors to gain entry to the game. There's even a feature of the program that can flag specific individuals and bar them from purchasing tickets.
The question is: Is this a solution or an inconvenience? Do high school sports fans really want to give up the luxury of buying a ticket at the gate? One would think that revenues might decrease a smidge.
