York College athletes receive honors

York College's Jon Ports was selected as the Capital Athletic Conference co-player-of-the-week in men's soccer along with Mary Washington's T.L. Tutor. Ports lifted the Spartans to a 1-0 double-overtime victory against Gettysburg College on Sept. 16. On Sept. 20, Ports scored his fourth goal of the season in a 4-0 Spartan victory against Susquehanna University.

April McFarland received CAC player-of-the-week honors in field hockey. McFarland scored three goals for the week, increasing her season total to seven. McFarland's 92 career points ranks her third highest in points for York College's field hockey program.
