Fall festival at York College
Without a football team, homecoming isn't quite the same so York College does the next best thing by hosting a Fall Festival.
Much like a traditional homecoming football game, on Saturday the action at York centered around four sports, volleyball, field hockey, along with a women's and men's soccer doubleheader.
Women's soccer captured the most heart-pounding win of the day when Rachel Allen picked the perfect time to score her first career goal.

Allen, No. 18 above being congratulated on her goal, drilled a hard shot into the left corner of the net 6:10 in overtime, giving the Spartans a 2-1 win over Moravian.
"It felt really good to be out there," Allen said after recording the winning marker in just her second game back from a sprained MCL.
It wasn't easy as York gave Moravian a boost by scoring an own goal that tied the game 18 minutes into the first half, two minutes after Kali Macgregor gave the Spartans the lead on a penalty kick
The No. 3 ranked Spartan men's team demolished the visitors from Greensboro College, 5-0, thanks to two goals by Chris Ports, No. 7 below.

York's volleyball team earned a three-game win over Franklin & Marshall, 27-25, 25-23, 25-19.
YAIAA alumni Sierra Dell (Susquehannock), Cortni Rentzel (Northeastern) and Alishia Waltermyer (Red Lion) all had solid matches for the Spartans.
The only York team not to be victorious on Saturday was field hockey, which dropped a tough 1-0 decision to Capital Athletic Conference foe St. Mary's.
