This week, the Shippensburg University athletic department had several information releases that involve YAIAA alums this past week.
Littlestown grad Brett Stoops scored a touchdown in the Red Raiders' 27-10 win over C.W. Post last Saturday.
The redshirt sophomore's four-yard scoring run with 1:10 remaining in the first half gave Ship a 17-3 intermission lead.
Stoops has started all six games for the 3-3 Raiders and has rushed 27 times for 81 yards. He has seven receptions for 41 yards as well.

Also this week, senior libero Kelsi Hoffman, above, had 20 digs in Shippensburg's three-game women's volleyball win over Millersville.
The West York grad has been the defensive leader most nights for the 13-12 squad.

On Wednesday, the university announced that its January 17th home basketball game against East Stroudsburg will be televised regionally on the CBS College Sports Network.
Of course, the Raiders return leading scorer Lauren Beckley for her junior season. The 2006 Fairfield grad, who holds the YAIAA girls' career scoring record with 2,258 points, finished fourth in the nation with her 22.3 points per game average last season.

The athletic department celebrated the success of its women's cross country team, which finished tops among Division II schools and 13th overall at the Brooks Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University.
Thanks to freshman sensation Neely Spence, the daughter of Raiders' coach and former Olympian Steve Spence, the team is ranked sixth in the nation.
Twins Amanda and Emily Dubs, graduates of Northeastern, are on the Shippensburg roster.

Shippensburg's women's swim team was honored for its academic prowess. The squad posted a team grade-point-average of 3.45 for the spring semester, which placed them third in all of Division II.
Dallastown grad Anna Kinard and Heather Weaver of Spring Grove are sophomores on the squad. Jami Myers, another Dallastown alum, is entering her freshman season.
