Week 6 Wrap Up

It's all about playing well at the right time.

Central York and Dallastown sport identical 5-1 records after six games, but it's the Panthers that have the best shot at the Division I title after taking down the Wildcats on the road Friday night.

Kennard-Dale has lost just as many games as it has won this season, but a recent surge has put them atop the Division II standings with West York with a 2-0 mark against divisional opponents.

With Littlestown and Dallastown going down to scorching hot Central and K-D teams, William Penn and Delone Catholic are the only two undefeated YAIAA teams remaining after each squad picked up easy victories Friday night.

West York and Bermudian Springs have each won five in a row after wins on Friday, as the Bulldogs pasted Northeastern while the Eagles barely hung on against a Susquehannock squad that lost its coach on Thursday.

Fairfield earned its first victory of the season, Red Lion and York Suburban both made it two in a row and South Western bounced back to get back above .500 in Division I play.

Only four weeks to go before the playoffs -- the best time to play well. Ask last year's Delone Catholic team that won the District 3 title as the No. 6 seed, they'll tell you. Just make sure to do enough on the field to get to the postseason. That's kind of important too.
