The rankings are unchanged from last week. You can view those here.
William Penn and Central York became the first two Class AAAA teams from the YAIAA to win a playoff game in the same week, but neither could take the bigger step and reach the semifinals, despite playing at home. Both lose a ton of key personnel to graduation this year and will need players to step up if they want to have the same success in 2009.
Delone Catholic couldn't win in the second round at home either, but the Squires have a good bit of talent returning and should have an easier time repeating the success of 2008 and going even farther in the playoffs.
As far as West York goes, they have plans to play into December this season.
The third-seeded Bulldogs (11-1) should be considered the favorites this week at home against No. 10 Garden Spot (8-4). If they prevail, they will have a more-than-worthy opponent waiting for them at Hersheypark Stadium the day after Thanksgiving. No. 1 Mechanicsburg (12-0) has won its two playoff games by an average of 26 points and No. 5 Manheim Central (10-2) has reeled off nine straight victories and has won the district title 15 times since 1989.
