Another year, another disappointing postseason for the YAIAA.
Seven teams were defeated in the first round and then three more ost on Friday despite all of them being the higher seeds and playing at home. William Penn was schooled by a younger Bishop McDevitt squad, Central got "punched in the mouth" by Governor Mifflin and Delone was shut out by Middletown.
Then there is West York. The Bulldogs let Conrad Weiser tie the game in the third quarter and then scored 26 unanswered points behind a monumental performance by Brandon Real to become the only YAIAA team to move on to Week 13.
The third-seeded team in Class AAA, West York gets to play at home again this week against No. 10 Garden Spot. The Spartans have won on the road two weeks in a row and are the lowest-seeded team remaining in the bracket. Manheim Central plays at Mechanicburg in the other semifinal.

Great Season for the YAIAA - would have been nice to see at least one more team advance - Congratulations the Squires, Bearcats, and Panthers. GO BULLDOGS!!!
