League season kicks in for real this week

Now that the new year is here, it's time to get serious about the division races in wrestling. And this will be a big week for many schools, especially New Oxford and Dallastown.

The Colonials and the Wildcats will meet in New Oxford Tuesday. And on Thursday, New Oxford hits the road to meet defending champion Spring Grove while Dallastown returns home to host South Western.

Thus far, the Rockets and Red Lion seem to have slightly separated themselves from the rest of Division I. So for team district purposes, let's give those two squads berths in the postseason. That leaves New Oxford, Dallastown and South Western to battle for the remaining two spots.

A Colonial loss Tuesday would probably eliminate them from contention; that would be a second loss in division (New Oxford dropped a 31-30 criteria match to South Western in December). A Wildcat loss just makes the three-team race even tighter and makes theor Thursday meeting with the Mustangs just that much more important.

In Division II, the Bermudian Springs at Biglerville match Jan. 24th should decide the championship, barring a major upset along the way. However, this week provides one of the area's best traditional matchups - Bermudian vs. Hanover - on Tuesday. The Eagles then get to renew another of those Hanover-area matches Thursday when Littlestown make the trip to York Springs.

This should be a fun week to setup the rest of the regular season.

I don't know much about division 1, but my pick is Spring Grove

As for D2, this one is in the bag, easiest pick ever....Bermudian Springs all the way

Different people in all countries take the home loans in various banks, just because it is simple.
