The York College track and field teams are filled with YAIAA alumni, including Dallastown grad Caitlin Rizzardo, who was nothing short of amazing at the Capital Athletic Conference championship meet, which took place April 18.

The sophomore Rizzardo, shown above while at Dallastown, won her second straight Capital Athletic Conference pole vault championship in grand fashion, establishing a conference record with her vault of 10 feet, 9 inches.
Fellow area grad, freshman Mandy Parshall, a homeschool student who competed for Northeastern High School, earned a pair of titles, capturing the 800 (2:25.92) and 1,500-meter (4:47.39) races. Parshall also anchored the Spartans 4 X 400 relay team that placed second.
Parshall's sister, Melody Parshall, a junior at York, placed fourth in the 5K run with her time of 20:31.22.
Other local Top 10 finishers for York included: Dallastown grad Jamie Tyson, who placed sixth in the 100 and 400 hurdles. Christian School of York alum Rachelle Geesey was seventh in the 100 and eighth in the 400 hurdles.
Terah Bloemer (Kennard-Dale) and Elexis Engram (William Penn) were seventh and eighth respectively in the 100-meter dash. The two combined on the Spartan 4 X 100-relay team that came in third.
The Spartan women and men's team each placed third overall.
On the men's side, Gave Henise of Dallastown earned a pair of medals. The senior finished third in the 200 (22.38) and seventh in the 100-meter (11.24) runs.
In the same events, Red Lion alum Ryan Liggitt was sixth in both. The pair was a part of York's 4 X 100 relay squad that won a silver medal.
Eastern York grad Jason Hinkle was third overall with his 16:07.81 in the 5K run.
