PSAC battle features several YAIAA alum

When Bloomsburg traveled to IUP for a Saturday baseball doubleheader, four YAIAA grads played in both games.

Bloom scored 32 runs in the twinbill sweep with a pair of locals contributing nine hits to the mix.

Dallastown's Mike Austin was 3-for-4 in Game 1 and Dover grad Corey Eisenhart went 6-for-9 over both games, including his 4-for-6 first game won by the Huskies, 20-0.

In 41 games, Austin is hitting .289 with one home run and 25 RBIs. He has also stole seven bases in nine attempts. Eisenhart, a catcher, has made 24 appearances and is hitting .254 with three doubles for the campaign.

On the Indiana side, South Western alum Paul Bingham went 3-for-7 for the day and is hitting a robust .396 with 10 doubles, five triples and two home runs in 42 games. He has driven in 37 runs as well.

His teammate Shane Melhorn, a Dover grad, was 2-6, including a three-run home run in the second game, won by Bloom, 12-10. The speedster is batting .295 with six doubles, three triples and three round-trippers.

Also on the Crimson Hawks roster is pitcher Josh Hildebrand, a Red Lion grad who has made 12 appearances, posting a 1-1 record and a 4.72 ERA with nine strikeouts.
