I have to admit, I’ve never really thought about getting gray hairs.
My sister has always had a gray streak, and I have plenty of friends with a few streaks, but I’ve never really thought about when the day would come for me. Until Friday night.
I was brushing my teeth when I saw it (and nearly spit on the mirror.)
I know that it’s probably about that time, and that I have a stressful enough job to cause grays. But really, at 28 years old?
I posted the offending hair on Facebook and got a few comments from people telling me to dye my hair. Another friend added it’s OK because it blends in with the rest of my hair.
I sent my parents a picture and my Dad told my Mom he had an upsetting image to show her. We laughed about it a little the next day as we also talked about my recent knee injury and fall down the stairs. (Oh my God, I really am an old lady.)
I doubt I’ll start dyeing my hair anytime soon, but I guess I’m just realizing that I’m way closer to my 30s than 20s anymore.
Do you search for grays in your 20s? If you find them, do you cover them up or just embrace it?
