Area's all-time PIAA championship list

With thanks to my good friend Rod Frisco, who put together a chart of PIAA team and individual championships per school, here is the list of York-Adams schools state titles:

William Penn 70 (all individual)
York Suburban 32 (5 team, 27 individual)
York Catholic 17 (10 team, 7 individual)
Dallastown 17 (1 team, 16 individual)
Central York 16 (5 team, 11 individual, counting 5 as North York HS)
Dover 15 (all individual)
Eastern York 15 (all individual)
West York 14 (1 team, 13 individuals)
Biglerville 14 (all individual)
Delone Catholic 11 (4 team, 7 individual)
South Western 11 (1 team, 10 individual)
Susquehannock 10 (5 team, 5 individual)
Northeastern 9 (4 team, 5 individual)
Bermudian Springs 8 (1 team, 8 individual)
Hanover 8 (all individual)
Spring Grove 7 (1 team, 6 individual)
Red Lion 7 (all individual)
Kennard-Dale 6 (1 team, 5 individual)
Fairfield 6 (all individual)
Littlestown 2 (1 team, 1 individual)
New Oxford 1 (team)
York County Tech 1 (individual)

Of note: Not all of these championships came within the YAIAA or its predecessors. Some people might be surprised to know that of William Penn's 70 individual champions, 54 are from one sport - boys swimming.York Catholic teams have won the area's most PIAA titles - 10.

North Allegheny has won the most PIAA titles (full list here) with 130 (87 individual, 43 team). Impressive for a school that has only existed since 1959.
