The National Association of Sports Public Address Announcers will conduct a clinic for high school football announcers on Saturday, Aug. 14, at the PIAA headquarters in Mechanicsburg.

Dean DeVore, announcer at Penn State University, will conduct the three-hour clinic, which begins at 1 p.m.

The clinic, which costs $65 per adult and $35 per student, will cover announcing protocol, working with a spotter, scriptwriting and how to handle emergency situations. Attendees will participate in voice training.

Also, a football official will review rules changes and hand signals.
