Live from Hershey: District 3 basketball live chat, March 2

The York-Adams area will be well-represented at Hershey’s Giant Center tonight, as four area teams compete in a District 3 basketball championships triple-header. The action starts at 5 p.m., when the New Hope Academy boys take on Greenwood in the Class A final. That will be followed by the York Catholic-Delone Catholic boys’ Class AA final at 6:45, and the Red Lion-Central Dauphin girls’ Class AAAA championship game at 8:30.

Can’t make it up to Hershey tonight? I’ll be hosting a live chat all throughout the evening’s action. Stay tuned for live updates and analysis, starting at 4:45.

How far do you think RL girls can go in states?

    • John Clayton says:

Based on what we’ve seen, this team certainly has the ability to go to the state final. So much during the state tournament depends on matchups, but it’s pretty clear there’s no team in District 3 (outside of Wilson) that could challenge them. Haven’t seen many teams from outside the district, but I have a hard time believing there’s another team head-and-shoulders above them.
