You covered the Red Lion/Dallastown meet and yet Ryan Knisely doesn’t get nominated? He dominates the 100,200 & 400 and anchors the 4×400 that decided the meet.

You gave an athlete of the week nomination to the Central setter on statistics taken from two games the Central team played against two of the worst teams in the volleyball league. This is a most pathetically weak nomination. There have to be at least over twenty or thirty or ever forty athletes in all of the spring sports who would be more worthy and deserving of a nomination. Please tell me that the nominations are NOT given by anyone who writes for any newsworthy paper or anyone who has any clue at all of what it makes an athlete!!!! If these nominations are given by the sports staff I am at a total and utter loss. I feel for all those other hard working and more deserving athletes who were overlooked.

With so many talented athletes across the YAIAA, it’s tough for us to choose who to include in the poll and easy to miss a great performance. Please feel free to submit your nominations in the future — just email them to ejones@ydr.com!
