Conaway, English ready to help Penn State to a third straight NCAA wrestling title

Jordan Conaway, right, won a PIAA title at 112 pounds in 2011. He defeated Canon-McMillan’s Connor Schram, 10-4, in the final to claim New Oxford’s first individual state championship.

Former New Oxford standout Jordan Conaway is gearing up for the 2012-13 wrestling season with the Nittany Lions. Last year, he redshirted and went 11-5 in open tournaments, recording a pin and two tech falls along the way.

Former Central York wrestler James English

Also back for PSU is Central York graduate James English. English missed the entire 2011-12 season because of an injury, the second time in his career that he was sidelined. According to the PSU website, English “is ready to have an impact at the middle weights” this season.
