Chance Marsteller wins 170-pound title at Powerade wrestling tournament

Kennard-Dale junior Chance Marsteller won the 170-pound title Saturday at the 2012 Powerade tournament at Cannon McMillan High School in Pittsburgh. The match pitted two of the nation’s top 170-pounders against each other and lived up to the hype.

YAIAA Boys’ Basketball Power Rankings: Dec. 24

All right, fresh off Friday night’s Division I showdown that turned into an 80-56 sprint for William Penn against South Western, here’s our YAIAA Boys’ Basketball Power Rankings. Just like the girls’ rankings, I expect these to be the final rankings of 2012. We’ll be back in January for more, but I couldn’t wait to get some out.

YAIAA Girls’ Basketball Power Rankings: Dec. 24

Happy Holidays, everyone. Well there’s no time to waste, so here are our first power rankings of the season. The next set of rankings probably will not come out until the first week of January.
1. Dallastown (6-1): The Wildcats’ win against Red Lion has them worthy of this spot. One word has me scratching my head in reference to that win: “Upset.” Was Dallastown’s win against the Lions really that? It’s so early in the season, and we’re still finding out a lot about these teams. Right now, I’m calling it a strong win for a good team.
