Spring Grove’s Rebecca Miller to run for Geneva

Spring Grove three-sport senior Rebecca Miller recently committed to Geneva College, where she will run and pursue a degree in biology and animal science to become a veterinarian. Miller, who swims in the winter, runs cross country in the fall and track and field in the spring, will participate in track and cross country at Geneva.

What makes Miller’s commitment to Geneva unique is it came after her decision to join NCSA Athletic Recruiting, a recruiting network that helps high school students with some tools — including digital ones — during their recruiting process.

Miller’s experience is greater as a swimmer, but the combination of interest for her running talents and the fact her mother attended Geneva led to her decision.

“It wasn’t until I looked at what I thought was my other number one that I realized Geneva was where I was meant to go,” she said in a quote provided by NCSA.

One Response to Spring Grove’s Rebecca Miller to run for Geneva

Hey Matt, Thanks for the article on Rebecca, it is nice to see her hard work finally get some recognition. FYI. Rebecca only looked at Geneva because her mom suggested it. Momma, kept mum on any other advice until she decided. She really liked the team and how they were friends outside of the team activities, Dr. Yowler the head coach will also be her biology professor she works with for some classes and her research project. He make sure she succeeds in the classroom and on the track/course. It is true though when she visited her other number one she was truely comfortable about committing to GC. Go Tornados! Proud GC alum, even prouder GC mom.
