GameTimePA goes global during Bulldogs run

Doing the live stats game cast during West York’s second consecutive PIAA tournament run has been a blast. It’s great being able to update the 100’s of people that can’t travel to state playoff games but want to know what the Bulldogs are up to.

However, I didn’t expect someone to be following along from Australia until I met the parents of West York pitcher Eric Zearfoss, who told me that Eric’s sister, Lindsey has been following the game cast.

Here is an email I received after Tuesday’s game in which West York defeated Abington Heights in a dramatic comeback, walk-off.

“My name is Lindsey Zearfoss and I just wanted to thank you for all the coverage you’ve been doing on the West York baseball games via Twitter and GameTimePA. I’m currently studying abroad in Australia, so I can’t be there in person to cheer on my brother Eric and the rest of the team during the playoffs. So it’s really nice being able to keep up with the games in real time even though I’m half a world away!”

That is awesome.

Hi Steve- I wanted to echo Lindsey’s comments. I followed my alma mater the Northeastern Bobcats Championship game via Gametimepa and twitter from southern Germany where I was traveling for business. Had I been home I would have been a part of the Bobcat faithful at the game in Penn State. Thanks for the great coverage!
