Marsteller up for national award

marstellerKennard-Dale senior Chance Marsteller, who recently completed a perfect high-school wrestling career with his fourth PIAA championship has been nominated for another award, this one that could help the school’s entire athletic department.

Marsteller has been nominated for a USA Today poll titled “The Inspiration” in which he could be recognized as the most inspirational scholastic athlete in the country for his unparalleled wrestling accomplishments. If he wins, the Kennard-Dale athletic department will also get a $1000 donation.

The poll can be found here.

Read where Daily Record/GameTimePA.com wrestling correspondent Tom Hunt calls Marsteller the greatest of all time in Pennsylvania, something in which long-time wrestling writer and fan Rod Frisco agreed with when I posed the question to him at the PIAA swimming championships.
