Fall sports open practice Monday

Don’t let the thermometer or the calendar fool you: Fall is here, and summer is over. Monday is the first day of practice for high school fall sports teams, and area athletes will take to the fields, courts and courses to start gearing up for the season. Central York golfer Gus Minkin finishes 22nd at Maryland AJGA event

Central York’s Gus Minkin was disappointed Thursday night in his play at three-day American Junior Golf Association all-star tournament, where he finished 22nd overall, but he knew the event was a valuable experience only a month away from his sophomore season of high school golf.
