Go Michele, it's my birthday!
That's right, boys and girls. It's my favorite day of the year, and one my parents will always remember (Right, mom and dad. . .) - my birthday.
I know there's some myth that women are supposed to hate their birthdays. I LOOOOVE mine. I usually celebrate for about a week. This year's celebration began on Saturday.
That day, my older and wiser sister, Debbie, gave me a great gift.
She baked me a cake, and let me decorate it. I know it may not seem like much, but, Debbie, you're special, man. You reached out, and you touch(ed) a sister's heart. (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back movie reference - see scene with Tracy Morgan).
Thanks, Deb. I know Gina always tells you that you're adopted, and I agree, but just for today, I'm going to tell you that you're not. Also, I will not say that you're ugly and your mother dresses you funny.
Here's what the cake looked like. No, it will not be winning any decorating contests. And no, we did not use any of the items on the counter to make the cake. Deb, you rock.
Thank you to everyone for your birthday calls, e-mails, messages and well wishes. I had a great day.

Michele: Happy belated birthday. Mine was May 25th. Now, down to this blogging business. You are going to get a ton of advice on this topic. It's like being a parent for the first time. Parents are told to do this, do that, etc. In the end, you listen but do what works for you. That being said, here's my only unsolicited suggestion EVER. See a nutritionist. We had very talented nutritionists in the athletic department at PSU and they were amazing. I think you will value the suggestions you will get from one. Other than that, this attorney will exercise his right to remain silent and support you anyway I can...all the way!

Happy Day Gurl!!! I hope you received some funny birthday cards and that you'll walk all the way over to "the other side" of the office and share them with me. I miss not sitting side-by-side any longer.
By the way --- just what was the Clorox used for? (see cake photo) And there's grated cheese. Now grated cheese on cake might be tasty. You can never have too much cheese in your diet.

I never said Debbie was adopted. I said Michele was adopted. I guess I'll acknowledge her today though because it's her birthday. :-P (Michele's younger sister, Regina F.)
