Should they be forced to pay?
San Fransico's "hippy dippy" mayor is proposing a tax on sugary drinks such as soda.
He said the taxes will help offset the costs of obesity-related health care, which cost the city millions each year.
The mayor said he expects to get "resistance" from the soft drink makers.
You think?
Personally, I'm a believer in taking responsibility for your actions.
I'm not fat because of Pepsi, Hershey's or those wonderful folks at the Outback Steakhouse.
Sometimes, I eat too much and don't work out enough.
In response, my body has held on to some extra pounds.
Ok, to a lot of extra pounds.
However, I don't think the city should be able to tax the soda folks for my bad choices.
I'm interested to hear what you guys think about this. Do you think this tax is a good idea?
How much should it be? What drink makers should have to pay it?
Holla back, ya'll.
