Does this license make me look fat?
Ah, the DMV. . . or PennDOT, or the DOT, or whatever name the 10th level is going by these days. . . . .
Make no mistake - It is the most evil place on earth, hands down.
Where else can you go for hits on your self-esteem, perils in mind-numbing bearucacy and cuts from all the forms you have to fill out, then no longer need?
I took my trip into the depths this week to renew my driver's license.
So far, this hasn't been the best week for the home team, being that I had an upper respiratory infection
A trip to the DMV could've been just want I needed to send me over the edge, and into 'taking a hostage' mode.
Fortunately, the trip wasn't too bad - that is, until I saw the end result.
The woman behind the counter was nice, but it was because she was hiding her malicioius intent behind her smile.
She took my information, and told me to sit down for a photo.
Yes, this is my favorite part of a DMV visit, too.
She takes the firs photo, and puts the preview up on the screen.
In it, I look like I'm on drugs that did not include the cold medicine pulsing through my veins.

In this one, I look like I'm in shock or have been surprised with a big check - minus the check.
This one is a no, too.
The third photo showed my swollen cheeks and eyes from lack of sleep and my cold.
However, it was the best of the three.
I went with it, no longer able to stand the thought of one more bad photo.
So, I've got a driver's license with a picture of me with what looks like my best chipmunk impression.
Nice.
Is it just me, or do you hate the DMV, too?

My pic looks great it I s going to suck when I have to take a new one. I have been using this one for several years. I also hate when you say your weight and the lady gives you a second glance. I am like what I am 115 in my mind!!
