I have to give up one of them. I came to the realization last week that I was probably drinking about 500 calories of the two together each day.
That's a lot of calories, and a little less than half of what I should have total for a day.
At first glance, the easy choice appears to be the soda.
With 150 calories, and 41 grams of sugar in one, 12-oz can of Pepsi, the decision seems like a no-brainer.
But my go-to drink of choice, Vitamin Water, has it's own issues.
It's only 50 calories a serving. However, it has 13 grams of sugar in each 8 oz. serving.
One bottle is about 2.5 servings, so you get almost 30 grams of sugar from a 20-oz. bottle.
Whoa.
So, which one do you give up, or trade for more, well, water?
Ok, I love them both. Perhaps I could work out a compromise.
Right now, I probably drink both each day. I may move that to either or, and keep the serving size at 8 oz. if I just can't give them up.
And more water - I've got to drink more water.
Any thoughts?

I would recommend ditching the Vitamin Water altogether. The recommended caloric intake for women is 1500 calories. One bottle of Vitamin Water is almost 10% of that total. Plus nobody needs the additional sugar found in this product. Instead drink regular water (if your office has bottled or filtered water even better) with a twist of lemon or lime in it. No calories and it keeps your body hydrated. Then you can sneak in a diet soda a few days a week.
Get the baby bottles of Vitamin Water. They come in 8-oz bottles, 4 to a package. That way you can control your serving size without having to measure.
