This is how I feel when someone suggests I have a "shopping" problem:

This woman is very upset (understatement) about missing her flight.
According to this story from Reuters, the middle-aged woman was seen charging at a security guard at the departure gate, before screaming "aieyyahhhhh," at the top of her lungs in a rant that lasts about three minutes.
Awesome.
Talk about a public meltdown.
This would be a publicist's nightmare. Poor lady.

I'm Ok, and I'm alive.
I've got a really, really bad cold, so I'm at home. Still sad over mom, but that is to be expected.
Just trying to eat better and get back to the gym, which also helps with the grief. So, life is not too bad. I just sound like I'm whispering because I lost my voice with this cold.
But, since you're here, I thought I'd give you something to waste your time with at work today.

Love it.
It has all kinds of things, like a cheaper copy of those super-fly earrings you saw some star wearing on the red carpet.
It even has stuff on sale at prices normal (read: poor) folks like us would actually pay.

Is it just me, or does Renee Zellweger look like one of those creepy, expensive Barbies people collect?
Apparently, there was also a memo that said everyone needed to go with a "sea" theme." That is the only logical explanation for all the mermaid-like dresses.
And the highlights? Here's the best-dressed photos. Interesting enough, both J-Lo and Beyonce both made this list.

I was chained to my desk for most of the day yesterday.
At some point, I knew I'd have to go to the bathroom.
When I did, there was a woman in there talking on the phone.
She stopped in mid-laugh when I came in, and stared at me.
I was like. .. Ok. . .
So, I kept on my way and went into the stall, but not before she gave me the look of death.
My bad.
Was I being rude by using the public bathroom in the office?

Hi everybody.
I wish I had more time today to tell you all the reasons you should vote.
I don't. It's Election Day, and I'm swamped at the newspaper today.
So, you know what you're supposed to do. It's your right and your duty as an American citizen.
Get out today and vote. All these folks are in line waiting to vote, and that's a beautiful thing.
Whoever you support, go out and vote for your favorite candidate.
Don't forget wear your "I Voted" sticker.
(And if you have a minute, pray that I make it through our day of around-the-clock Election Day coverage.)
I'm swamped.
We had a murder/suicide in the county, so I've been covering the story.
So freakin' sad.
My co-worker, Amy, called me over to her desk to look at this picture.
Amy said, "What could happen during your day to make you do this?"
Indeed.
According to the Associated Press, this undated mug shot released by the Middletown, Ohio, police department shows Michelle Allen, 32. Allen was arrested Sept. 27, 2008.
Police allege she impeded traffic, urinated on a neighbor's porch and chased children while wearing a cow suit, according to a Middletown police report.
Right. . .
So, are police saying it's not OK to dress up in your cow suit, play in traffic, use your neighbor's porth as a toliet and frighten small children when you chase them?
What is this world coming to, when a juicy woman in a cow suit can't go out and live for a day?
We even have the same name.
But for the record, I have not done any of these things. (Or at least no one can prove that I did any of these things.)

On my way to physical therapy Saturday, I called my dad in Va.
He and I usually chat on Saturday about whatever explosion-filled, gory, scary or stupid movies we've seen lately or trade family gossip.
This Saturday, I had some bad news.
One of his favorite comedians, Bernie Mac, died.
So, let's say you have a daughter, and she gets raped at 16.
Awful, right?
Then, to add to it, she becomes pregnant from the assault. What do you do?
Well, if you're this woman's mother, you force your child to carry the child to term, and then call her a slut for being raped and getting knocked up in the first place.
Good answer, right?
Not so much.
I think we all can agree that our own mothers do things that make us crazy. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this woman's mama IS crazy.

I went to fill up my little Honda CRV today, with gas prices at $3.85 per gallon for regular gas.
Thank goodness I shop at Giant, I thought as I unscrewed the gas cap and prepared to fill up.
Buy using your bonus card, the grocery store offers you gas points for buying groceries.
I have three bonus cards.
Anywho, I scan one of my cards and get 20 cents off each gallon, putting the price down to $3.65 a gallon.
Bonus!
That is, until I started pumping the gas.
