Frank Bodani’s late-night conference-room cello concert

Frank Bodani might be best known as the York Daily Record/Sunday News’ Penn State football beat reporter. But he’s so much more than that.

Among his many talents, Frank is a cellist. And Wednesday evening, he performed at a graduation function at HACC’s York campus. Which meant he brought his cello back to the office so he could finish writing his column on Penn State’s new coach Bill O’Brien.

Now, one thing you need to know about the YDR sports department is that it’s jam packed with 80s music fans. (We loved this story on the Tim Tebow remake of “St. Elmo’s Fire.”) And nobody loves the 80s like assistant sports editor Lyzz Jones.

A couple of years ago, Lyzz asked Frank to learn to play Bon Jovi’s “Living on a Prayer” for her birthday. And after Thursday’s paper was sent to the press, Lyzz’s birthday wish finally came true.

Here’s part of Frank’s performance. Enjoy.
