Each week I choose a letter that I think is interesting or fun or provocative or simply adds something important to the public discourse. The lucky writer gets a small prize as a token of our appreciation.
This week’s letter comes from Dr. Elise Thomas of York Township. I like this letter because it just offers some good common sense as a response to the tragic Newtown, Conn., school shooting.
No matter what your position might be on gun control or what other measures you think should be taken to counter this epidemic of senseless violence, you ought to be able to agree with Dr. Thomas’ suggestion to make sure guns are properly secured.
