President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign will host a grand opening for its York office from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.  The office is located at 120 W. Market St., York.

The Obama campaign website says:

“While we still have a lot of work to do, let’s enjoy this night with guest speakers, food, music and friendly company. At the opening you can learn how to get involved, what activities are taking place in York, and meet the neighborhood team leaders for your community.”

The Obama team says Pennsylvania is one of nine politically important states where the campaign will air a “new television ad … portraying an America on the rise and urging voters to stick with the president,” according to an Associated Press story posted to ydr.com today.

Our website also has a story about Republican party leaders starting to rally around Mitt Romney, the presumptive GOP nominee for president.
