State Rep. Stan Saylor, R-Windsor Township, was re-elected today to the third highest leadership position in the state House Republican Caucus, according to a news release.

In last week’s election, Republicans maintained their control of the state House, and increased their membership from 109 to 111, according to the release.

The incoming Republican state House members picked the same leadership team for the 2013-14 legislative session as they did two years ago, including state House Speaker Sam Smith and Majority Leader Mike Turzai, according state House Republican spokesman Steve Miskin. The formal election for speaker will take place in the full House when the 2013-14 session begins on Jan. 1, according to the release.
