Leg Up Farm requests $185,000 from York County

Leg Up Farm, a nonprofit therapy center in the Mount Wolf area, requested $185,000 from York County government at a work session on Monday, according to county spokesman Carl Lindquist and President Commissioner Steve Chronister.

Chronister said the nonprofit requested money from the county’s general fund, which includes special allocation money for third-party agencies and initiatives.

Chronister said he thinks the nonprofit is a good cause, but that he doesn’t personally think the county should grant the request.

Officials with Leg Up Farm could not immediately be reached for comment Monday afternoon.
