Illegal dumpsite cleanup in Peach Bottom Township happening Saturday

An illegal dumpsite cleanup will take place in Peach Bottom Township from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, according to a news release.

Volunteers for the Bunker Hill Road cleanup are needed and appreciated, according to the release.

Keep York County Beautiful, which is organizing the event, recommends that volunteers dress for safety by wearing long pants and shirts, as well as sturdy shoes. Youth volunteers, ages 12 to 17, must complete a Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful volunteer waiver form with signed parental consent prior to participating.

Safety vests, gloves, and trash bags will be provided.

People can show up the morning of the cleanup events, but organizers prefer to have a better idea of how many are coming in advance, said Tom Smith, coordinator of Keep York County Beautiful.
For directions and more information, contact Smith at 717-840-2375 or email at TLS35@psu.edu.
Volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. at Bunker Hill Road, located near Bunker Hill Avenue and Main Street, Delta.
