York County commissioners approve new hazard mitigation plan

York County commissioners on Wednesday approved a new hazard mitigation plan.

The plan identifies 102 mitigation actions for the county and municipalities.

Anne Walko, a senior planner with the York County Planning Commission, said there were no significant changes for how potential hazards ranked as priorities from the 2008 plan.

Winter storm, nuclear incident,  environmental hazards, and flood/flash flooding/ice jam ranked high.
