Kevin Schreiber, a Democrat who was elected to the state House on Tuesday, said he has learned he will be sworn into office on June 4 at 11 a.m. in Harrisburg.

The special election was held in conjunction with the primary, and it was open to all registered voters in the 95th Legislative District, which is made up of York, West York, North York, Spring Garden Township and part of West Manchester Township.

The contest was necessary because former state Rep. Eugene DePasquale was elected state auditor general in November.
