What happened at Pa. House hearing on whether York County can raise hotel room tax?

I wrote about York County officials wanting to raise the county hotel room tax rate from 3 to 5 percent, so there’s more to spend on promoting tourism.

But they need permission from state lawmakers to do so.

And state lawmakers are focused on a comprehensive reform to the system.
