York Mayor Kim Bracey, President Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Pope Francis.
Those were some of the answers given during a candidate forum in Harrisburg, featuring five of the eight announced Democratic candidates for governor.
Moderator John Baer asked them to name one person in politics, government or public service who influenced them or who they admire.
1.) Tom Wolf, a York County businessman and former state revenue secretary, picked Bracey.
2.) John Hanger, a former state environmental protection secretary, picked President Barack Obama and Pope Francis.
3.) Former President Bill Clinton was one of the people state Treasurer Rob McCord named.
4.) Katie McGinity, a former state environmental protection secretary, also named Clinton. She served as chairwoman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality while he was president.
5.) Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski named a bunch of mayors, including Bracey.
So by, my count, Bracey was named twice. She tied Clinton.
And she narrowly edged out Obama and Pope France who were both named once.
