Perry votes against debt ceiling measure

The Associated Press reported that House Republicans backed away from the battle over the debt limit to allow quick passage of the bill.
The 221-201 vote came hours after Speaker John Boehner announced his party would back down, the AP reported.
The bill would allow the Treasure Department to borrow for another 13 months, putting off the chance of a debt crisis through the November election. This would also allow for the newly-elected Congress to decide how to act.
