Same street, different speed limits

Drive down Carlisle Avenue heading out of the city by the fairgrounds, and you'll notice that the speed limit is 25 mph. Now, drive the other way heading toward the city, and the speed limit is 35 mph.

Does that make sense to anyone? It's apparently because the township is on one side of the double lines (35 mph) and the city is on the other. To make the same road have the same speed limit (imagine that?), they'd have to spend all this money on studies and whatnot.

Um.. right.
