Sunday reading update

| | Comments (0)
Last night at a city council meeting, Bill Schell said Martin Library has been doing fantastic on Sundays. They've been averaging about 750 visitors every Sunday since they started opening on Sundays.

To recap, the library started Sunday hours Sept. 21. The extra hours are being paid for by Cintas Corp. and other donors.

As a library neighbor, I can tell things are going well. On Sunday afternoon, I returned from a weekend trip to find that nearly all of my block's parking spots were filled. At first I couldn't figure out why, because I couldn't think of any special events going on in my neighborhood. Then I realized it must be the library.

Fewer parking spots are fine with me if it means more people are checking out books!
