I just received an e-mail reminding me that the York Historic Farmers Market Association (also known as the Market Friends) is holding a meeting at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Union Lutheran Church. Attendees should use the Penn Street entrance.
Linda Birmingham, one of the group founders, included a newsletter saying the group will be holding a cleanup event at the market on April 16. A painting day will follow on April 23. A vendor, Barbara Smith, has already done some painting, but there's more to come.
The group is looking for donations of white latex paint, paint supplies, sandpaper (60 and 80 grit) and window glaze.
