After seeing a few people on Twitter post about "voting" for their favorite farmer's market, I finally clicked the link and checked it out.
Web sites Care 2, which appears to have information on a number of causes, and Local Harvest, which provides information about farms, farmers markets and other local food sources, are running a contest.

Click on this page to vote for your favorite farmers market. The local markets listed are Central Market, Market and Penn Farmers Market, and New Eastern Market.
The top vote-getting market gets $5,000. There are a few other prizes, too.
When I checked in, Central Market was ranked 29 with 73 votes. The top market at the time was Durham Farmers Market in North Carolina, with 310 votes. Penn Market had five votes, and Eastern had three.
So, if you want to vote for your favorite farmers market, go here. Click here to learn more about Local Harvest or here to learn more about Care2.
(I didn't vote, by the way. I write about both city markets, so no picking favorites here.)
