As I was deciding what to eat for breakfast today, just after 8 a.m., I heard a large bang from outside. Initially, I thought it was the recycling being picked up. But the bang wasn't followed by the typical clatter of aluminum cans and bottles.
So I looked out the window and discovered that a car had plowed into the tree and "loading zone" sign just in front of our building. My neighbor was already outside on the phone.
