A local business is also helping, according to our Web site:
"U-Stor-It, at 1331 N. Sherman St., Springettsbury Township, is taking donations of "gently used" items for fire victims, said Rebekah Sweeney, property manager. Call 840-9369, or stop by 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
They are seeking furniture, clothing and toiletries.
"We have a lot of people who rent from us from downtown," she said. "I couldn't imagine being one of (the many) people who has nothing."
In a news release, Red Cross spokeswoman Victoria Connor said there has been a "tremendous" outpouring of support from the community. It's terrible when something like this happens, but it's nice to see that the community is reaching out to help those in need.
