Several community groups are holding a “We Care Giveaway” Saturday (as in tomorrow, Jan. 23) at noon in York.
Items such as household goods, clothing, food and toys will be given away. The event is sponsored by Neighbors Helping Neighbors, the Salem Square Community Association, Lincoln Charter School and the city police department.
The event will be held at 559 W. King St.
Some of you might remember that Neighbors Helping Neighbors was started by city resident Bobby Brunner after the fire on Chestnut Street. He’s organized similar giveaways and block parties since that time.
