Applications for youth and businesses are still being accepted for the Summer Work Experience Program that began today in York.

The program, sponsored by the Crispus Attucks Center for Employment & Training and the South Central Workforce Investment Board, provides paid summer work and training for youth ages 14 to 18. Work is available in two eight-week sessions, and the second will begin July 12.

To register, families must provide a birth certificate, social security card, picture identification and proof of household income. Children under 18 will need a work permit.
