Free vaccinations to be offered Thursday

vaccinationJPG.JPGThe York City Bureau of Health will offer free vaccinations to York residents at an immunization clinic on Thursday.

The clinic, which will be held at the Albert S. Weyer Health Center at 435 W. Philadelphia St. from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., marks National Immunization Awareness Month. August is a good time for city residents to think about vaccinations as parents enroll their children in school, students leave for college and flu season approaches, city officials said.

Vaccine information and prizes will be offered to children and teens to attend the clinic. Anyone interested can call the York City Bureau of Health at 815-0910 or 849-2299. Appointments will also be available throughout August.
