Parking permits are now available for the York Fair. Residents who live in designated areas can pick up permits at York City Hall on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or at the city police department in the same building from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekends.
Vehicle registration will be required to obtain a permit, and new residents must provide verification of their address. There is a limit of three permits per household, city officials said.
Permit parking will be in effect from 4 p.m. to midnight for the duration of the fair. Drivers must display permits in the driver's side window, and all parking laws still apply. Street sweeping will be suspended during the fair, officials said.
